YOGA STUDIO

My name is Louke Bos. I’m a down-to-earth yogini, mother and yoga teacher
At my attractive, relaxing yoga studio with a garden, I teach small groups of 6 pupils maximum. My lessons are relaxing and challenging, cheerful and serious. I have an eye for everyone and give tailor-made asanas (yoga postures).

The studio is fully equipped with yoga mats, meditation cushions and tools (props) that can possibly support you during the lesson.

The yoga studio Yoga Less Is More is located at the green district Scharn op de Bergmansweg 60 at Maastricht.

Next to my working hours within Yogalessismore I’m also founder and initiative of foundation Good Life Yoga Maastricht.
The mission of GLYM is to increase awareness of the positive effects of yoga, especially among young people. In 2016 and 2017 we organized a big event on International Yogaday in Maastricht with 650 participants on the yogamat. See LINKS below or see the promo video.

HATHA YOGA

The yoga form I teach is called Hatha yoga.

Hatha yoga consists of:
Yoga poses (asanas) get rid of the muscle tensions and make the body resilient and flexible.
Yoga breathing exercises (pranayamas) take away the nervous tension and allow you to gain better control of your breathing.
Yoga concentration and meditation take away the mental tension.

Hatha yoga consists mainly of non-moving asanas (yoga poses). Hatha yoga has a slow pace and is a static practice of standing, sitting and laying poses (asanas). Breathing (pranayama) supports the exercise. The slow pace of Hatha yoga allows you to be consciously involved with your body and helps with turning your attention inward instead of staying focused on your thoughts.

Practicing yoga will help you to unwind and to reduce stress. The techniques attribute to a beneficial effect to the nervous system, the glands and other important organs. Generally, a relaxation of the body occurs. The purpose of Hatha yoga is mainly to promote health and well-being.

EDUCATION
I studied at the Yoga Academy Vedanta Aalst in Belgium for four years.

TRAINING
Every year I participate in yoga weekends to expand my knowledge via the Yoga Federation at Vaalbeek and Drongen | Pranayama course at Iyengar Yoga Maastricht 2015 | Mindfulness training at See True Maastricht 2013. I also take yoga classes at colleagues.
