You don’t have to be flexible, thin or spiritual to practice yoga. See yoga as a present to yourself. Switch off the automatic pilot and turn your attention inward, so you can learn what’s really important. Big or small, stiff or flexible, young or old. Yoga is about accepting yourself and presenting yourself in the moment, as well as finding the strength to act from that.
Yoga is a process of becoming aware and being aware. It allows you to find the balance between too little and too much, between relaxation and exertion, breathing in and out, to do and to not do.
By combining physical asana’s (poses) with breathing exercises, you connect better with your body. Intruders like tension, uncomfortableness and stress are recognized faster and more easily removed. Not just on the mat, but in life too. Yoga renders you stronger, physically and emotionally.
